Is It September Already?
The end of the year is approaching quickly, and we have several important dates to add to your calendar.
Match Month Fund Registration Now Open
The Foundation’s annual matching event is changing and will now be known as Match Month.
From Oct. 10 through Nov. 10, donors and organizations will have an extended opportunity to take advantage of available matching funds. More information about this year’s event will be shared as the dates approach, but organizations planning to participate must submit their registration before the end of September.
Eligible organizations include those with endowed funds currently held at the McPherson County Community Foundation or one of its affiliate foundations.

Foundation in the House
Foundation in the House is our opportunity to bring Foundation staff into communities throughout McPherson County.
One upcoming stop to keep in mind is Sept. 22 in McPherson at Craft Coffee. This visit will be especially helpful for families with students who may be applying for scholarships early next year. Scholarship coordinators Jessi Boughfman and Tyler Krenzin will be available to answer questions over coffee.
Upcoming stops:
- Sept. 8: Inman, Light House Coffee, 10 a.m. to noon
- Sept. 22: McPherson, Craft Coffee, 10 a.m. to noon
- Oct. 13: Moundridge, The Hub, 10 a.m. to noon
- Oct. 27: Windom Senior Center, 8 to 9 a.m.
- Nov. 10: Galva, Tin Roof Pantry, 10 a.m. to noon
- Nov. 17: McPherson, Craft Coffee, 10 a.m. to noon
Foundation in the House will continue into early 2027, with additional stops planned throughout McPherson County.
David J. Nutt Fund Letter of Intent Deadline: Sept. 30
Organizations planning to apply for a David J. Nutt Fund Lindsborg Legacy Grant must submit a letter of intent before the regular grant application period.
Some information for the letter of intent can be submitted through the Foundation’s grants application portal, while additional information will need to be sent directly to the Foundation.
