Match Day set for March 6

The sixth annual McPherson County Community Foundation Match Day is set for Wednesday, March 6 from 7 am to 5 pm. The Foundation is offering up to $60,000 in matching funds for the contributions given to one of 25 participating organizations. Here’s how Match Day works:

  • The match pool is divided proportionally to the total amount raised on March 6. For example, if a total of $100,000 is raised and an organization receives 10% of the total donations, they will receive $6,000 to use for immediate needs or add to the endowment fund.  ($12,000 max per organization).
  • Minimum donation amount to be matched is $25. There is no limit on the amount of funding donors may contribute to an organization’s endowed fund.
  • Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. Only gifts made on March 6 will count toward match day totals.
  • Although it is preferred for donors to give in person, donations may be made online from 7 am – 11:59 pm. Click HERE on March 6 to give online.
