21 Sep Inman Match Week: Oct. 6 through Oct. 12
Our partnering foundation the Inman Community Foundation has received a grant to increase the amount that they can match for their upcoming Match Week 2023. This grant, gifted from the Patterson Family Foundation, will provide $70,000 in matching dollars.
Match Week officially kicks off on Friday, October 6, and concludes Thursday, October 12. The Inman Community Foundation and Inman Harvest Cafe are hosting a reception and in-person opportunity to give on Wednesday, October 11 from 2 pm – 5 pm.
Matching funds are given to organizations based on a proportional basis. If $80,000 is raised during the week and an organization receives 10% of the total donations, they will receive $7,000 to use for immediate needs.
Required Minimum Distribution gifts can be made from your IRA to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution as long as a donation form is filled out by Oct. 12. Funds from IRA accounts do not have to be transferred immediately and will be accepted by the Foundation up until Dec. 31.
“This event is an opportunity for organizations to build a strong endowment that will help with permanent funding,” Becky Goss, President and CEO of partnering organization McPherson County Community Foundation said, “They will receive immediate funding by leveraging the grant dollars.”
