08 May How Mastermind Survey Data Is Driving Community Impact
A few weeks ago, we shared how priorities identified through the Mastermind McPherson County survey were categorized. Since then, we’ve continued integrating those priorities into our day-to-day work, most notably through grants from the Community Dream Fund and the David J. Nutt Fund for Lindsborg.

While the annual Mastermind grant cycle is designed to directly respond to survey results, funding doesn’t stop there. Our grants process is open every other month and aims to address evolving community needs, needs we now better understand thanks to the survey data.
What’s an example of a health-related grant made post-Mastermind?
Here are five recent Dream Fund grants that support community health:
-
$7,500 – Y-Kids Summer Activities
-
$1,500 – USD 419 Elementary Roller Skating
-
$4,260 – Marquette Community Food Project
-
$8,000 (matching) – Legion Handicap Access
-
$7,000 – Christmas Food Baskets
These projects support health in a variety of ways, from encouraging active lifestyles in kids to addressing food insecurity during the holidays.
Grants released throughout the year remain one of the most powerful ways we support McPherson County communities and the organizations serving them. Thanks to the survey data, we’re able to fund with focus, supporting efforts that reflect what residents say matters most.
